Egypt is a state in northeastern Africa with over 97 million inhabitants and an area of over one million square kilometers. The megacity of Cairo is the Egyptian capital and the largest metropolis in Africa and Arabia, and the Greater Cairo metropolitan area is one of the most populous urban regions on earth. Other megacities in the country are Alexandria and Giza. In terms of economic performance in GDP per capita, Egypt ranks 94th out of 190 countries (2016, PPP). In the Human Development Index, it ranked 111th out of 188 countries in 2016.
Ancient Egypt is considered one of the world's early advanced civilizations. Egypt has been included in the Mashreq region of the Arab region since the Arab-Islamic expansion. It has as an intercontinental state a land bridge from the larger African part to Asia, to the Sinai Peninsula. The 2011 revolution changed the social and political conditions in the country. In the Democracy Index, Egypt ranked 130th out of 167 in 2017.

Bilder von Hurghada selbst haben wir zwar nicht, aber der ein oder andere Schwank ist rechts bei den News zu finden. Aber als Trostpflaster habe ich einige Bilder von meinen Tauchgängen beigefügt. Normalerweise würde ich hier ein Sample der besten Bilder stehen haben, der Rest wäre bei den Fotos unter "Medien" zu finden.
